How many people actually COME to this forum? (not how many members)

Cos the number of posts per day kinda sucks ¬_¬

Re: How many people actually COME to this forum? (not how many members)

I visit here every day but I don't post every day.
It looks to me like some people have joined OTS, then not posted anything after that. But that happens on other forums too...

Re: How many people actually COME to this forum? (not how many members)

Being a new member, I do not know how long the forum has existed therefore I think the number of posts per day seems to be correct. I do not think that having a hundred new messages a day would benefit the forum as some members would be lost amongst all of them, and think there is no need to reply after everything they wanted to say has been written by others. An average of a dozen to thirty messages a day is good in my opinion. Of course, I would not mind this forum being a little more active that it is. :-)
Besides, as renaeden wrote, some people join but then lurk, because they do not know what to post but want to have access to all the discussions.

Yeh, about 30 posts per day wood probably be good.  Im not sure how many there are now, but nothing like that.

I come here every day and post every day.  You people are my only friends!

I also read on "that other place" every day, but do not always post - there are just way too many posts to muddle through.  eh

I like this forum.  It's "just right."

Granted, this pace of posting DOES have its advantages over wp, where you can start a thread, leave it a day or 2, and its 3 pages long razz

I think this forum is quite good. And it is young, so it has chances to grow. I prefer a forum with a few good posts each day, to a forum with 200 spam posts each day.

I browse this forum and the other aspie sites at least once a day but don't post a lot...

I come here every day (unless I don't have access to a computer, which is rare), but I don't always post.

A site may seem too busy, or not busy enough, hard to keep things balanced & for all members to be satisfied. Too much on a site slows things down, too little does the same, for different reasons.
I check here several times a week, but infrequently post.
I get weary just reading, then too worn out mentally to reply to anything.
Feel I've stated my take on many things already, don't wish to be repetitive.
If I disagree w/something, I usually skip replying bc. I'm not willing/able to argue.
Perhaps others get feeling of closeness w/some members they've gotten to know through online. Not the case for me, I need IRL contact to "resonate" w/another individual. Not judging this, only observing/analyzing how (more or less) reinforcing participation is.

Re: How many people actually COME to this forum? (not how many members)

I come here every few days and occasionally post when I have something to add. The pace of this place is a little too slow to visit every day right now.

Re: How many people actually COME to this forum? (not how many members)

I come here every day I can lately, although before it was just when I had time.. Sometimes I come here and read and don't post anything at all because I'm not in the mood or I just need a distraction.
It's a good and bad thing that there aren't too many posts a day here - if I can't get to the computer to read here then there isn't alot of catch up when I eventually get the time, but if I desperately need something to do I have to look elsewhere.
